Executive Summary

In late 2024, a recognised career-focused education provider in Germany worked with Uptut to deliver an intensive DevOps bootcamp for 10 motivated learners. The program focused on individuals transitioning into IT, many without technical backgrounds. Through a mix of live sessions, labs, and project work over 12 weeks, each learner built practical skills and was prepared to take on DevOps responsibilities in a professional setting.

Why DevOps Matters in EdTech and Career-Switching Environments?

DevOps was chosen as the focus of this program because it offered practical, in-demand skills that helped non-technical learners make a clear shift into IT roles. The client saw it as a direct pathway to jobs that required problem-solving, collaboration, and automation experience.

At the time of the training, 47% of global teams were already prioritising DevOps to improve release cycles and team coordination. The need for cloud-native tools, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure automation was growing quickly in sectors like education, healthcare, and finance.
